    TGIF

Let's see... what's going in with life?

Did you know that you can have an eyelash grown backwards and eventually cause blurry vision if you let it grow long enough? Lesson learned. *smirk* I was thrilled it was an easy fix and wish I hadn't waited so long to go have it looked at. Dr. Miller, you rock.

As for tummy issues - still got them. I've lost 10lbs now in just over 2 months, but I wish it was because I was drinking more water (rather being able to drink water ONLY) and eating the right foods (rather then forcing myself to eat and eating only bland things). I'll see a specialist on Monday and I hope things will get figured out. I'm tired of having horrible burning from throat to belly, bad headaches and not sleeping well at night. The fatigue is also getting pretty bad.

One last note: come ON Cubbies. Argh, wrap it up already!

    Happy Sunday!

Well, today I went to the "Good Feet" store and got some inserts for my shoes that are making my feet feel much better. Hopefully they will help my left foot's pain issues as well. We shall see.

My Chiefs won today over the Vikings. Whew.
My Cubbies are currently beating the Pirates.
Braves are currently beating the Brewers.
The weather is darn near perfect outside.
I have the full afternoon for stitching.
And... I added a new gallery of updated Dylan photos today.

So far today has been awesome. =)

    Plantar Fasciitis

After suffering for over 3 weeks with a sore foot - I finally went in today to find out what the heck was going on. I had a very painful instep of my left foot and the muscle was like a guitar string. The area is also swollen and bluish red like a deep bruise. Find out it's Plantar Fasciitis.

    Here's an awesome site:

In the xray I had taken this morning I even have the pretty calcification spur starting. So now I have a script for anti-inflammatories and some exercises I'm to do to help it relax. If I'm not better by the end of next week she mentioned sending me to a specialist for injections to help it relax. Ewww. Come on foot, heal!

    General Update

    Let's see...

Dan's been working hard on the new deck. The old is down, the wood cut and placed into nice neat stacks, the holes dug, filled with concrete and the bolts sticking up ready to be attached to the posts. The house "flashing" has been put on, spots covered by the old deck have been now painted to match the white of the house and the lumber is drying within our garage. I've had to park in the driveway for about 3 weeks now) I can't wait to see it start to take shape. =)

On the Zelda front... Dan has it almost solved. Me, not so much. I'm now in the Snowpeak Ruins with the Yeti.

    EMS Exchanges

Now that both my needleroll and my "Do it on black" exchanges have been received I'll share them both with you here. They were a lot of fun to stitch and I really look forward to stitching for my next exchange. I learn so much trying new things and ways to finish.

Everyone should learn to stitch! Hot

    BOW 2007

I'm home from BOW (Becoming an Outdoors Woman) 2007 and I can't believe it's over so fast! I learned how to tie knots last Friday night and then fished most of Saturday while helping out driving people everwhere and getting the instructors the things they needed. Then, today (Sunday) I learned to drive a motor boat and back a trailer. Now THAT was cool!

Be sure to check out the new BOW gallery on the right there. And for more information on BOW check out:

    EMS Needleroll Exchange

My needleroll was received today by Madejas in the Dominica Republic. I really liked the way this one came out and look forward to doing another soon. I'm so glad I'm improving. *laugh*

    From Another Blogger...

Saw this on a blog and just HAD to pass it along...

"This is a story from the morning radio station I listen too: thought I would share it with you as it touched me in so many ways, and set a light bulb off in my head. enjoy."

A number of years ago, I had the rather unique experience of visiting backstage in Madison Square Garden, in New York, during the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. To say the least, it was a fascinating experience. I was able to walk around looking at the lions, tigers, giraffes and all the other circus animals.

As I was passing the elephants, I suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at any time, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not. I saw a trainer nearby and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away.

"Well," he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free."
I was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn't, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before? How many of us are being held back by old, outdated beliefs that no longer serve us? How many of us have avoided trying something new because of a limiting belief?

Worse, how many of us are being held back by someone else's limiting beliefs?

Whatever you can conceive and believe, you can achieve.

    Death Bed Answers

I was tagged by Anna. =)

Imagine you are on your deathbed. Recommend to those who remain in your life...

    1) One book to read: The Bible
    2) One movie to watch: When Harry Met Sally
    3) One food to eat: Plain New York Cheesecake
    4) One place to go: Iowa! (outside of Iowa - Rome, Italy)
    5) One life lesson to leave behind: Make yourself proud, everyday.

    Achoo, sniffle sniffle

I wanna go see my nephew, darnit! I've had this silly headcold / sinus thing now since last Thursday. Yes, it's getting better and I'm currently now in that all time favorite "draining stage." That means coughing, sneezing, running nose, etc. Wheee, so much fun. Blah. Oh well, soon I'll be better and get to go see that little guy.

In other news, I moved on last night in Zelda and am out of the lake temple now (killed Morpheel) *whee!* and will take some "time off" and wander around for bugs, coins, heart pieces, souls and other things I've not been paying much attention to while playing. We've noticed between Dan and I we've played over 50 hours together. *laugh* That makes the game (so far) worth about $1 per hour. I think we got a good one.

Twilit Aquatic: Morpheel is the boss of the Lakebed Temple in Twilight Princess. At first, it appears to be an anemone-like creature with an eyeball that constantly moves through the tentacles and must be extracted via Clawshot, but after it has been sufficiently damaged, its full body erupts out of the ground, revealing a huge, lamprey-like body, with its vulnerable eyeball now embedded in its head. Monday... no wait, Tuesday...

I love holidays away from work but man does it throw off my week! *smirk* It will be monday all day to me in my head when my usually heavy tuesday workload shows up. Bah. Oh well, one day closer to friday, right?

This past weekend both Dan and I have been suffering from flu/head colds and although he bounced back in just over 48 hrs it seems to be hanging on for me and I'M the one with the medication. Bah. I wish I had his body's fighting ability over mine. He's always so healthy.

I played just a bit of Wii this weekend (Zelda) and Dan played alot more. I was ALMOST caught up to him but now I'm further behind. I'm about to take on the boss man in the Lake Temple. Wish me luck. *smirk*

In stitching news, I'm about to mail out my needleroll for the EMS exchange and I must say I'm getting MUCH better at finishing! I'll post a photo as soon as it arrives to it's new owner. I'm so proud! *dance* Now to finish my "On Black" exchange and get that out.

    Have a great week.
